ShoppingOur region is renowned for wonderful fruit, as well as the delicious local meats, cheeses, patés, and wines you'll find in the markets and restaurants. Rose is the summer drink served by restaurants and bars everywhere together with excellent white and red wines both from local vineyards and a little further afield.
We love the little local shops, but there are also some excellent large Supermarkets locally where you can get almost everything!
Our excellent little local shops include several boulangeries/patisseries, a wonderful veggie shop, Les Primeurs de Montauroux, next door to this is a good butchers and poissonerie.
There is a locall wine shop Regusse [ we recommend the rose fruite for quaffing wine] where Madame is charming and you can take along a large container and fill it with a wine-hose. They do nice jams and other local specialities as well.
There are interesting shops along the main road such as a glass shop, with its own glass blowing sector, and pottery and ceramics shops, gift shops, clothes shops as well as the Supermarkets.
Montauroux village is five minutes by car uphill and has a few little shops and a market on a Tuesday. It is very picturesque with stunning views from the market square.
Fayence which is the nearest bigger village/small town to the west has bigger and better markets on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday. Go early as parking becomes difficult.
There is a Marche de Paysans on the main road selling local produce on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
We have Details of lots of restaurants. A few of the best are as follows:
Walking distance ‘Pizza aux Pommes de Pins’, which also serves excellent steaks.
Montauroux, the Marina, small choice but good food.
Our real favourite is le Jaz de Soupie , a little Table D’hote Farm restaurant with delightful hosts Ghislaine and Jean-Pierre.
Fayence and Seillans, neighbouring villages, have a wide variety, including for a really special lunch, we the little converted mill, Moulin de la Camandoule.
Le Petit Prince in Cabris, has an amazing view.
Callian boasts an intimate Italian restaurant also with a great view.
We always advise guests to read recommendations from our Visitors Book.
Cannes, Nice, Theoule, Frejus, Grasse and many other nearby towns have a wide variety of wonderful restaurants including ones with Michelin stars.
