You'll find a home-from-home here. Space and comfort inside the house, and terraces outside: at the front overlooking the pool, or at the back in the shade on a hot day overlooking the gardens.
The spacious living/dining room has a lovely open fireplace, La Cheminee, for winter rentals. Comfortable sofas and chairs easily seat guests and friends. We are not a holiday for visitors who want to spend time watching English TV, although we have BBC World service and Eurosport in German!!. Brush up your French by watching French TV or listening to French radio.
There is a range of DVDs, CDs, and a selection of board and card games to play, as well as table tennis, boules and plenty of books to read.
We are on Broadband available free-of-charge for YOUR laptop. Landline to landline phone calls throughout Europe are also free. Not to mobiles though – Parents be warned if you have teenagers in love!
OUR Villa is single-storey with three double bedrooms: one with TWIN beds on the corner of the house with French windows giving on to the pool; A second double bedroom with a normal-sized double bed, also giving on to the pool; and an east-facing bedroom for the early morning sun, giving on to the side gardens, with twin-beds plus an additional single bed –all rooms with good cupboard space.
There is a large bathroom with shower over the bath, bidet, washbasin and loo; as well as a separate Shower room and another separate loo.
There are hair-driers and mirrors in all bedrooms. Sheets are changed weekly. Spare towels are in the cupboard in the main bathroom.
The kitchen area is fully equipped, with kettle, cooker, combined electric and gas hob, toaster, large larder fridge, dishwasher, as well as plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses and cookware.
The kitchen leads to the utility room housing washing machine, freezer, ironing facilities, and further storage. There is a washing line in the car port and also up in the back garden.
The living area opens on to the lovely terrace with table and chairs for al fresco eating. The view over to the Esterel Hills is beautiful and we have stunning sunsets.
Inside, there is an antique mahogany dining table seating up to ten guests. Outside the kitchen is a large brick built barbecue and there is an additional covered seating area and table.
Villa ProvenceRowles has a large attractive garden and the living room and bedrooms give out directly on to the partly-shaded terrace above the pool.
Our pool is private and secluded. The adjacent patio has sunbeds, table, chairs and sunshades and is surrounded by pretty flowerbeds.. French law is very strict concerning safety around pools; the pool is fitted with an alarm, and overnight there is a safety cover you can use for the protection of children. Please don’t use any of these as a substitute for a THOUSAND PERCENT WATCH over your children.
As our gardens are nearly an acre, we are not overlooked, but we do have lovely French neighbours. The next-door house in front of us has a tennis court. The current owners are sometimes happy for us or guests to play there, if we ask well in advance and they or their guests are not playing there themselves. However, they are trying to sell their house and new owners may not be so accommodating.
We hope you will find our garden as pretty as we do. There are plenty of flowers and a wide range of trees including beautiful olives. If you come in the winter, we are in a renowned Mimosa area and are growing several ourselves now.
There is a Carport as well as plenty parking space on the drive.
